Welcome Home, California Clubhouse!

Hello, members and supporters of the California Clubhouse,

Thank you for your generous donations over the holidays! Your faithfulness in supporting our work has made this move and buildout possible–allowing us to purchase upgraded technology (such as our Smart Board), kitchen appliances and cookware, and new furniture that will be used by our Business and Hospitality Units as they run the day-to-day operations of the Clubhouse.

We have exciting news as we begin a new year in a brand new location: 2191 S. El Camino Real in San Mateo! Our building, renovated and provided by San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, is centrally located in District 2 near the San Mateo County Event Center. The local ECR bus (El Camino Real & 5th Ave Belmont) is a short 4-minute walk away. We hope you’ll come visit or attend our Feb 26 Winter Open House for a tour and conversations with members. The 2-story building with fresh paint, multi-purpose rooms, and gleaming commercial kitchen is already exceeding our expectations, reflected in our high membership attendance and engagement these first weeks as we settle in. Members have selected and purchased essential items to complete our new buildout and have been hard at work, helping arrange new furniture and supplies as we imagine best use of the rooms for our hospitality, education, and employment activities in our Work-Ordered Day.
