Fund-a-Need – Our Goal
Spreading Our Wings to reach more members is an ambitious goal. It takes commitment and community Forty percent of our budget comes from private contributions, like those you can make tonight. Donate at the highest level you can. You will make an impact.
$5000 Transitional Employment (TE)
You can help a member get a job through Clubhouse’s unique program!
There is no other program like it! In Clubhouse, all that’s needed for a member to get a job through “Transitional Employment” is the desire to work! Members find great success knowing that staff will support them all the way through their employment, including guaranteed job coverage during rocky periods.
Clubhouse piloted its first TE placement this winter, partnering with Walgreen’s San Carlos. Now that we’ve proven the success of the TE model locally, we are ready to develop more, similar opportunities for members.
You can help provide nutritious meals to members!
Our emphasis on eating together and preparing nutritious meals encourages members to choose healthy eating both at the Clubhouse and at home. Members have multiple opportunities to participate in all phases of nutrition including menu planning, food shopping, meal preparation, budgeting, and food safety. For some members, the Clubhouse meal is their main meal for the day.
You can help a member develop their career path
For many members their career path was interrupted during their critical college years. By assisting members to return to school, the Clubhouse helps members to rediscover their original career path or identify and forge a new journey.
$500 Social & Recreation Program
You can help members achieve balance!
Life is about balance. With hard work, comes time to celebrate, build friendships, explore the great outdoors and have fun. On evenings and weekends, members and staff gather to build community through outings to local museums, hikes, cultural celebrations, local events, in-house karaoke and more! All major holidays are celebrated at the Clubhouse on their actual day!
$250 Young Adult Program (YAP)
You can help empower a young adult living with mental illness!
Mental illness usually first occurs between the ages of 18 to 25, yet youth often do not seek community based treatment immediately. Through strong peer relationships built at California Clubhouse, young adults develop self-awareness and confidence to make choices resulting in greater self-sufficiency, independence and belonging.
$100 Transportation Outreach
You can change lives and help us spread our wings!
Thanks to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, Clubhouse got a beautiful 12 passenger van in March. Members and staff have since created a daily pick up and drop off route for members seeking transportation assistance. We are launching this inaugural route on May15! Please support the operation and maintenance of the van and the daily schedule.
